The media is a 'singlehood' feeding frenzy, offering up unsolicited advice for ladies far and near. I've come across countless articles that promise whoever will click a relationship. The exact terminology actually includes 'The One', 'Prince Charming', and 'The Love of Your Life'. Big promises for a 400-word article, wouldn't you say? Well, here we don't make promises we can't keep.

I know how hard dating apps are, trust me… I have been on those things since they came out. I struck gold maybe once; all the other times I struck copper, or worse, nothing at all, that came in the form of empty promises, being stood up, and/or blocked/ghosted after a 2-month period. Pain? Been there, done that.

That time I struck gold though? With my partner now. See, sometimes it's worth sifting through some garbage to get to the treasure. Remember how I said I won't promise anything?
